Stephan Amm Hi Folks!

For a long time I've been looking for an ideal location to get one of my light-flooded-style photo of Orchis morio. Last weekend I managed it and im really happy with the result! Have a lovely week!

Cheers,
Stevie

Stephan Amm What an impressive coastline! View from Dyrhólaey, in the background you can see the black lava columns of the Reynisdrangar come out of the sea.

Cheers,
Stevie

Stephan Amm Hi,

back from an two-weeks Iceland-trip, most time sleeping in the car (brrrhhh). Basically there for northern lights, I'm happy I took my 400mm with me, as I fall in love with coast and birds there :)

Cheers,
Stevie

Stephan Amm Hello, looking for other pygmy owl locations I've been successful and the best of it all I found stacked trunks with approx. 3m in hight so I had an ideal position for the background.

Cheers,
Stevie

juanli sun Yes, you positioned the Owl well, really enhanced the mood.

Stephan Amm a really "lucky shot"! I went into the forest at sunset to get some fog with sun mood when I suddenly heard some tits shouted very loud. I looked upon the trees and saw the small pygmy owl surrounded by the grumbling birds. During the whole dawn I stayed there and got different shots, the one below I like most...

Cheers
Stevie

Stephan Amm Hi,

yesterday I found a lot of eatable mushrooms and they were delicious combined with pasta and re wine. As all of them were unphotogenic I 've been very happy to find this little fly agaric standing between old spruces. Ideal for AFS 200/2 @ f/2.0 ....

Stephan Amm The last days I made a short trip with Radomir Jakubowski into the Bernese Alps. I was very happy to get some photos of Capra ibex, Rupicapra rupicapra, Salamandra atra and Lagopus muta. My absolute favorite you can see beneath...

Stevie

rafael rojas Funny that. Selling my D3x to buy some new lenses for my Mamiya 7II ! Ok, I am cheating there...the D800E arrived too. Enjoy your gear Stephan! Surely another type of animal!

Stephen Gingold Wonderful glow, Stephan. And the two little orchid blooms look so distinctive against that background.

Stephan Amm For a long time I tried to get some Pulsatilla vulgaris with some ice crystals on them. Yesterday I started at 5 a.m. and went to my favorite location in "franconian switzerland" to be there to get the right moment. After a long time (-5°C) laying in the meadow the sun started to cross the edge of the hill behind the flowers. This was my time...
