Photography has been my hobby – my passion for over 35 years – 35mm, medium format, and even 4×5. I take mainly Landscapes, Waterscapes, Nature, and Macro Photographs in both B&W and Color.

I use a variety of graduated neutral density filters to improve dynamic and tonal range of my images. I currently use a Pentax 67II and a Canon 5D Mark II cameras.

I love to travel for the sake of taking photographs. Some of my favorite places are Scotland, Nova Scotia, Maine, Canadian Rockies, Pacific Northwest, California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Desert Southwest.

Eddy REMY Great article ! I'm not very sensitive to the use of B/W in nature photography, except for landscapes where the B/W is dominant (icelandic landscapes for example). Maybe this article will change my mind in this domain...

Swallows on wires
Two swallows sitting on wires. Photo taken with telephoto lens. To make image graphical I intentionally overexposed it using camera settings.

Alexey Korolyov Yes, I agree that there are human elements on this photo. When posting this photograph I did not think about that. Daniel, Guilhem, Eddy, Juanli, I apologize for this situation.

juanli sun No problem, as the wire was like black line, graphical.

Gloomy forest
This image looks like as if it was taken at dusk or at night. But actually it was not. I intentionally underexposed this photo using camera settings to achieve this gloomy effect.
