I'm emerging from a long photographic hibernation and adding some new images. This one my be my favorite of the entire year, the last moments of light in 2012 on the cliffs of New Mexico's Sandia Mountains.

And for my portfolio, here's my personal favorite of 2011. My time this summer in the Nevada backcountry was a real treat, it's quite possibly the most underrated region of the American West.

Just processed this one, from Great Basin National Park in the high country of Nevada's Snake Range, an underphotographed park in a very underappreciated state.

juanli sun It's cool to get beautiful foreground to go with the lunar eclipse, unfortunately, we only can work with the tight moon and sky last night, as nothing really interesting as foreground.
Beautiful composed and exposed.
